Getting to the RVA Booklovers' Festival
Jefferson Park
1921 Princess Anne Ave.
Richmond, VA 23223
We encourage Festival-goers to use Lyft, Uber, and bicycle to reach the park.
Parking: On-street parking is available around Jefferson Park in Union Hill and Church Hill. Handicapped parking is available at the roundabout on Princess Anne Ave. right next to the park.
In addition, event parking lots are located at 18th and Broad St. and 18th and Grace St., just two blocks from the festival. These are City Parking lots with all day parking for only $5. Pay by cash or card at the machines located inside these lots; alternately, you can also download the PassportParking app or go to ppprk.com to pay from your phone.
To reach the Festival from these lots, walk east on Broad St. to Cedar St., turn left, and walk one block to Cedar and Marshall St.. A stairway at this corner will take you up to the park. (This 109-step stairway isn't for the faint of heart!) You can also follow Broad St. to 20th or 21st St. and ascend another easier (42-step) stairway at 21st.
Public transit: Eastbound buses (Route 7, A or B) run on Broad St. to 21st St. and then to Marshall and Jefferson Streets. There is a bus stop at the corner of 18th and Broad St. next to the Exxon, adjacent to the parking lots. If you provide proof of disability or can show an ID that you are 65 or older, you can ride GRTC for just $0.75.
